Mike P's 1965 Coupe

I started this car 3 plus years ago. It sat in a garage for 6 years awaiting a restore from the owner but they never got to it. This car was rescued from a pasture originally, I hope to get more details on it's life from the original owner/restorer in the future. It has a 351C with a C6 in it and that's the way I got it ( was a 289- 3 speed originally). Poured some mixed chainsaw gas into to old girl to first start her up to loosen up the rings a little and she belched mouse nest and blue smoke out the exhaust for a few minutes. Runs great!

I have rebuilt everything underneath. It had been rear-ended sometime in its history so there were some frame rail repairs. Replaced partial floor pan drivers side. Added sub frame connectors, new brakes, new hood, new doors, custom made scoops, built spacers for engine to clear properly (shock towers had previously been trimmed to allow engine clearance), painted the new 2005 Mustang "Legend Lime" with dark green metallic stripes. New gas tank, replaced passenger side trunk floor, repaired outer wheelhouse both sides, new exhaust 2 1/4" straight through with Magnaflow's, new lifters and pushrods, Edelbrock carb with 2V heads, many, many new parts. I have tried to use as much original as possible but she's not going to be all original for now obviously. Awaiting stencil kit for GT side stripes.

Hope to have her done for spring get togethers.  Thanks for keeping me on the e-mail list, slackard that I am. Oh yeah, just bought a 6 cylinder 66 coupe for the wife. She's in bad shape, flintstone mobile but good frame. Another 3 years??
